The Last Day

This class has been a trip as is any 3 hour class but you as a teacher made it not so brutal. You're a pretty cool teacher and person and I have enjoyed this class the most out of all my classes. I really did not like when we were extremely rushed in the middle but that was not your fault. I really liked how we discussed the book and what we all thought about it. I've met some pretty cool people in this class and wish you all the best of luck. It seems like just yesterday we were first meeting each other and writing our first essay. I thank you Ms. Hanson for being understanding and just an all around great teacher.

Chapters 13-15

It is winter and Anne and her mother are making Christmas plans. The weather is not the greatest so Anne thinks that no one will visit. Well Anne's friend Marjory Wyatt visits and they gossip and talk about King Henry. Marjory shows that she really cares about Anne's well being. Later in this chapter Stephen Gardener and Edward Foxe visit Anne and deliver a letter from the King. The letter states that they are charged with the task of bringing to bear a solution to the question of his graces annulment and asks if they were going to meet with the pope. Anne thinks that they should do anything to get the annulment. Anne is later caught by Foxe when she is reading Tyndales english translation of the bible which she could get killed for. She gasps and slams the book closed making it totally obvious that she shouldn't be reading it. Foxe is not mad or a threat because he too has interest in God's word.

Chapters 9-12

Anne meets her father who is the duke of Suffolk and she also meets the duke of Norfork. They were all meeting to talk about Cardinal Woosley. Anne's father had lost two pretty important jobs a few years ago all thanks to the Cardinal Woosley therefore Anne's father does not like him. Woosley also interfered with her betrothal to Lord Henry Percy. Anne had previously romanticized with Henry Percy and it all came to an end because of the Cardinal. They talk about how Woosley was a butchers son and has risen far above his station. They want Cardinal Woosley gone for many reasons and accuse him of stealing from the King. Anne agrees with the dukes but does not want to do anything right away. In august they went to the Richmond Palace. The weather was really gloomy and dark which made Anne want to go to bed early and she declined the offer to dine with her King. The next day they went on the queens barge and Anne saw a severed head on a stick and almost threw up. Anne saw Cardinal Woosley the next morning and they exchanged some harsh words. Cardinal called her a whore and talked bad about her sister Mary. Anne then told him "You should perhaps be a little more circumspect-you know not to whom you speak." Which I think by that she means he needs to watch himself because she will be queen soon and his punishment will come. Woosley got angry and then later tried to talk with the king alone and then the King said that he could say whatever he had to say in front of Anne, implying her importance as more than just a whore. Later on they all go to another Palace, the Palace of Placentia. While they were there King Henry and Katherine knelt together during mass which made Anne jealous and feel like she always be the other woman. Anne got her friend Nan and went to the garden with her. Anne was frustrated and later encountered her brother. She suggested they go ride horses like they always used to. The king gave Anne a gift that night which was that she didn't have to serve the queen any more but obtained three servants herself. Then her and her mother went back to Hever Castle for the winter.

Chapters 4-8

The king is obviously very rich and wants to buy Anne jewelry and also basically buy her love and keep her happy. So when he leaves the castle he gives her a huge selection of jewelry to choose from, she chooses a piece she recognizes from history and writes a letter to Henry. Wanting to leave the castle for a little bit Anne's mother, Anne's sister, and Anne herself decide to go visit the Wyatt family at the Allington castle. During the trip Anne's mother and sister gossip about her brother George about the fact he cheated on his wife. Anne snuck up on Thomas in the garden and you could tell they once or still do like each other but are maybe just not meant to be. When Anne got back from the Allington castle she spent most of her time in the library. Modern day Anne can't help but think of what is going to happen. Anne's sister Mary is actually married with two children, and the two children could be King Henry's I'm not sure though. Anne's brother brought her a letter from King Henry that basically said queen Katherine had called her a whore. Anne became interested in the book of hours which her mom passed down to her. Anne's father gives Anne the awkward news that she herself will have to tend to the queen Katherine. Anne agrees to serve the queen but only for a short amount of time. The queen and Anne obviously hate each other because of King Henry therefore there is tension. Everyone pretty much knows that Anne and the King are together.

Poem

Those eyes, that smile, his laugh, the way he sleeps, how he holds me, how he consumes my every thought, you'd think I was in love, but really I'm just distracted.

Part Two of Le Temps Viendra

Part two is where the plot gets more interesting. Anne for some reason is propelled back in time and has taken the role of the beloved Anne Boleyn. Anne is with her sister Mary and they are excited for the arrival of King Henry VIII. Mary first had an affair with the king but he got bored and moved onto her sister and they are now in the year 1527 and possibly in love. Anne does not want to be just a mistress though and she is aloof about how she truly feels about Henry. They meet in the beautiful rose garden and she is very much attracted to this man. Henry is currently married to a woman named Katherine, they have no sons, and he feels he sinned when he married her. Henry wanted to annul their marriage and take his loved Anne's hand in marriage. Anne accepted.

Part one of Le Temps Viendra

Today I am blogging about this book we are reading. It seems interesting. I used to read all the time when I was younger but I kind of outgrew that hobby. It would be nice to find a book that can keep me interested. This book seems like it could do that. I am excited to find out who Anne Boleyn is and why the main character is so fascinated with her. The main character got a divorce and felt guilty about it but in the long run she knew it was best for the both of them. She has always been interested in Anna Boleyn and her life. She decides to take an exciting tour of Anne Boleyn's home and belongings. Boleyn lived in a castle with a double moat, rose gardens, and ivy colored walls. It sounds historical and beautiful. The inner hall was one of her favorite parts of the castle. She loved the portraits of the notable figures in Tudor history. Modern day Anne began to feel very sick and went upstairs to get to the restroom. Instead, she heard laughing, someone calling her name, and blacked out in a windowsill.
